A scarf is an essential wardrobe piece that you cannot miss adding to your everyday life if you strive to have an elegant and luxury lifestyle. Easy, light-weight, colorful, a silk scarf can elevate any outfits from the most casual to the most sophisticated.

Here I'll show eleven ways how you can style your favorite piece. Enjoy!

1. As a headscarf

Think of the coast, a convertible, light summer breeze, and... Your headscarf. Very feminine and we will start seeing this glamorous style more and more.

2. As a bandana

For a lighter touch or if you just had a bad hair day, twist a silk scarf around your head and wear it as a bandana. Best with jeans and a white top.

3. As a headband

This is another vintage-inspired trend that looks like coming back successfully from the 80s and the 90s. Use your favorite scarf as a headband and make sure your bow is very visible!

4. Around your ponytail

Yes, you got it right. 2019's biggest trend is to have a silk, oversized scarf in your ponytail. Needless to say, I am very happy about this flattering and playful old-new trend.

5. On your hat

If you like heats and want to make sure they will match your outfit or just to give an uplift to the old straw, twist a favorite silk piece around it and voilá, elegance and style arrived!

6. Around your neck

Have you thought about why all the flight attendants look so elegant? Because all of them has a scarf around their necks. Copy their style and start accepting compliments (you don't need to serve coffee if you don't want:)).

7. As a necktie

Yes, one more way to have your scarf around your neck. Wear it as a necktie if you want to show more from the pattern or wish to project a little more artistic attitude.

8. Around your shoulder

Another very feminine way to wear your scarf not to mention that it really helps on those cool Summer nights to keep your shoulders protected.

9. As a belt

If you are younger (or not), and tired of your belt, have the scarf around your waist and simply use it as a belt. The other version of it is to have the scarf twisted around your hips, you know, á la Gypsy style.

10. On your purse

Some people say it's not stylish to have a scarf around your purse but I deny this statement. I really like to have a matching silk scarf on my purse, especially because I am not an accessory-person but still like to be able to use my precious pieces this or that way.

11. Above your knee

All right, I got this idea from the weddings, you know, when the blue ribbon is tied above the bride's knee. I guess it's a modernized version to show that you are still available and eager to give your most precious silk scarf to the prince on the white horse.
